Who We Are
Paradise Builders is a family-owned business founded by Brent Lane in 1985. It started in Wichita Falls, Texas, but then moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1987. We’ve been serving the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles ever since. Brent’s nephew, Justin Lane, joined the company in 2016 and has been a crucial part of our continuous success, now holding ownership in the business.
Paradise Builders received national recognition back in 1995 for our work on the President’s home at West Texas A&M University. Over the past 36 years, we have worked on over 5,000 homes in the Amarillo area, specializing in windows and siding, metal and conventional roofing, insulated patio covers, and carports.
In 1995, we expanded by starting a seamless gutter company and building new houses, bringing a thorough approach to construction. We also build metal buildings and perform light commercial work.
“We aren’t perfect, but we treat each customer’s house like it’s our own home. We enjoy being able to take care of all of our customers’ needs,” says Brent Lane.
Brent was born in Childress, Texas, in 1961 to a middle-class family. He started riding motorcycles at the age of 7 and entered motorcycle racing in the early ’70s. After graduating high school in 1979, Brent worked in the construction industry and then in the oil field. He later sold cars at Longhorn Chevrolet, which changed his life, thanks to the guidance from Val Cervantes and Reno Collins.
Brent and Randy Bernett met when Brent sold him a truck, leading to a job offer from Randy. With Randy’s guidance, Brent felt prepared to start his own business in January 1985.
Brent and Rick Neas tried to build condominiums at Possum Kingdom Lake in 1986, but the project stalled when the economy tanked. They eventually handed the project over to their partners and moved to Amarillo in January 1987 to start Paradise Builders Siding and Window.
Another endeavor was Dynamic Vehicle Safety Systems, which started with Jack Erik and others. They developed a railroad crossing warning device, securing two U.S. patents. However, despite being cost-efficient and reliable, federal government issues stalled the project, and it was eventually taken over by Bivins/Marsh.
Paradise Builders is expanding with a new office and warehouse, including a home center, allowing customers to view and purchase our home improvement products directly. Servicing the Texas Panhandle has been rewarding, and we strive to continue offering our services with honesty and integrity.
